Sunday worship at Westgate New Church praises God for his generosity in Creation and in sending Jesus Christ to our world to be our Salvation. We celebrate a risen Saviour, alive and active, through his worshippers, in our world today. Our worship is thoughtful but also joyous, an opportunity to come together to meet God.
Worship is of traditional non-conformist style, typically lasting about an hour.
Services are led by a minister or local (lay) preacher from either of our participating denominations.
The service of Holy Communion is celebrated each month. This service celebrates God's self-giving to humanity in Jesus Christ, and is centred around bread and wine, symbols of the body and blood of Jesus broken and shed for us at his execution on a Roman cross, It is also known as the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper and as the Eucharist.
When infants or adults present for baptism the baptism takes place within the context of morning worship.
There is a warm welcome for visitors at all our services. |
